West Ham United are interested in signing Olivier Giroud from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that the former Arsenal striker is a “firm target” for West Ham and is on the Hammers’ wishlist this summer.
The report has claimed that the 33-year-old is growing frustrated at his lack of playing time under manager Frank Lampard at the Blues so far this season.
The striker wants to play regular first-team football this season in order to be part of the France national squad for the Euro 2020 finals next summer, according to the report.
According to Claret and Hugh, the Hammers are willing to offer the veteran attacker a similar package the club proposed Samir Nasri last year, which saw the former Arsenal midfielder join West Ham on an initial loan deal with a one-year permanent deal offered at the end of the season depending on performances.
